Our Wedding

On October 19th…

Brandon and Gavanne met on October 19th, 2019. We celebrate this special day every year. On October 19th, 2025, we will get to celebrate as husband and wife! Gavanne's Story: Gavanne auditioned for the New Orleans Saintsations Cheerleading team in April of 2019. She made the team, and soon became great friends with her teammate named Amber. On a random night in October, Amber invited Gavanne out to Cure on Freret Street with her soon to be husband and his best friends. Gavanne happily joined her. After spending time catching up with her friend, they all climbed into Brandon's truck, and headed to Barcadia to keep the fun night going. Brandon and Gavanne finally talked more, and realized they share a lot in common. They connected over drinks and spoke about the time they separately traveled to Vietnam, and how they both lived in California. The night ended with a piggy back ride to the car, because she wore heels all night. Brandon "forgot" (or was too shy) to ask for her number, but thankfully Lance (Amber's now husband, and Brandon's best friend), saved the day! He convince Gavanne to allow Brandon to take her out. They scheduled a double date that following weekend. The rest is history! What was your first impression of Brandon? I thought he was handsome, smart, and shy. He seemed very sweet and was a gentleman. After getting to know him more, I think I can be more quiet than him. He comes off shy, but is actually way more outgoing than me. Everyone who meets him, loves him. He's a great person with an amazing character. What do you love the most about him? When I was little I always wanted a best friend. He's honestly my favorite person. I love how he supports me in everything, and cares for me. He enjoys finding ways to make me smile. We fit each other so well. He loves God, and values me so such. I look forward to marrying him. God has blessed us tremendously. Brandon's Story: How did Brandon find his forever love? On the night of October 19th, 2019, he finally took a break from working what seems like 100 different jobs. He noticed Gavanne right away. It appeared to be a usual night out in New Orleans with some of his closest friends that turned into a night he would never forget. When Gavanne walked into Cure Bar, he knew right away the night would be special. When Gavanne came around the bar to navigate to her friend, it felt like a slow-motion scene out of a movie. He immediately tapped his friend to ask about her. The night progressed, and they all rode to the second stop for more socializing. Gavanne was gorgeous, and full of energy. She danced and smiled all night. He hoped the night would never end. Brandon happily extended that October night into a lifetime of dancing and smiles. What was your first impression of Gavanne?&nbsp;I knew immediately how special Gavanne is. She is extremely smart, caring and genuine. What do you love the most about Gavanne? I love her honesty, the way she wears her heart on the sleeve. She is an extremely hard worker, and always willing to help someone else. I thank God for blessing me with an amazing friend, partner and future wife.

Gavanne met Ari soon after she moved back to New Orleans in 2016. They share a passion for dance together. They've developed a strong friendship over the years. Ari has always been a huge supporter and amazing friend.

Chauncey and Gavanne were teammates on the New Orleans Saints Cheer Krewe for four years! Chauncey has been one of her closest friends since they met. She is so loving, and so supportive. Her bubbly personality is infectious and impossible not to love. Gavanne is so thankful to have her friendship.

Gavanne and Dee met around 2015, working at T-Mobile together. They immediately clicked over lunch trips, and funny conversations between sales. Gavanne loves Dee's unique New York personality, and genuine love and support. 

Dania (Dee) McLaughlin

Gavanne and Dominique met at T-mobile around 2015. Their beautiful growing friendship distracted them from getting any work done. They chatted so much, that their manager tried to make sure they where scheduled to work at different times of the day. So many years have past, and they are still just as close.

Sissy is Gavanne's oldest sister. From changing her diapers, to helping her fill out college applications, Sissy has done it all! Even though they live miles apart now, Sissy is just a phone call away for advice about anything. Sissy blessed Gavanne with the "Aunt" title to three extremely sweet and intelligent children.

Dr. GeAndra (Sissy) Imoudu

Gerrin is Gavanne's middle sister, and right hand woman. Gerrin is the hostess and leader of the bridal party. She makes sure things are ran smoothly, and is Gavanne's #1 supporter. She is excited to make her sister a Mrs. She's been extremely helpful and supportive throughout this entire process.

Jabrilla has known Gavanne since 2007! They met in College, Gavanne's freshman year. Jabrilla helped Gavanne get connected to a Church, and helped her adjust to her new adult life. They've been connected at the hip ever since. Jabrilla has grown to become one of Gavanne's closest and most reliable friends. Gavanne cannot imagine sharing this special season without her.

Jade and Gavanne were teammates for three years on the New Orleans Saints Cheer Krewe. Jade's beautiful spirit has been a huge blessing to Gavanne for many years. She is always eager to celebrate her friend. Jade is the little sister Gavanne never had.

Kirsten is Brandon's older sister. She has been so sweet and kind, from the first day they met. When she heard about the engagement, she was over the moon. Gavanne is very grateful to have gained a bonus sister that has such a beautiful spirit, and who's so excited that her brother found love. 

Kirsten Knott

Gavanne and Sierra met in 2016, after Gavanne moved back home to New Orleans. Gavanne lovingly calls Sierra "Queen," because she was deservingly crowned Miss New Orleans. As beautiful as Sierra is on the outside, she is just as beautiful on the inside. Sierra's humility, grace, and passion for dance is what Gavanne loves the most about Sierra. Sierra is extremely supportive, loyal, and is always there to remind Gavanne how special she is. She is an amazing friend to the bride.

Genette is Gavanne's first born niece. Even though she's her niece, Genette is more like her little sister. Gavanne and Genette love to FaceTime for hours, and they have such a close connection. Genette is an 8th grader at Dwight School in Manhattan, NYC. She is a straight A student. She loves crochet, basketball, track, swimming, Taekwondo, and art. She's a member of the Future City Team, and Baking club.

Gille is Gavanne's third born niece. She is brave, kind, and extremely witty. Gille has such an inviting personality, and Gavanne loves the time they spend together. She is a 4th grader at ALC Mosaic in Charlotte. She loves soccer, swimming, acting, and dance. Gavanne is very happy Gille found a love for dance, and is always eager to help her nurture her passion.

Brandon met Joe as a freshman in college. First, being introduced through Josh, the three of them connected instantly. Joe has always shown what it truly means to be selfless. He has been genuine, caring and always willing to help anyone. These characteristics have helped grow and maintain their bond strong since day one!

Jermaine is Brandon’s first cousin. Jermaine is an entrepreneur. Recently, he started a Maintenance Repair business. Through his years of knowledge and success in the industry, he's been a great mentor for Brandon. Jermaine is dependable and reliable.

Edward "Eddie" is Brandon’s older brother. He consistently shows up for Brandon, and is extremely supportive of so many milestones, including witnessing his little brother become a husband. Brandon has always looked up to Eddie as an amazing big brother, who has set a positive example for him.

Brandon met Lance through one of his oldest friends from high school, Alex Tan. From their first meeting, they connected as if they were childhood friends. Lance has always shown up as a great friend, and constantly pushes him to be a better man and leader. Brandon is thankful for Lance's genuine friendship.

Bryant Wesco is Brandon's older cousin, and constant guide through life. He has always shown Brandon how to navigate life with consistency, integrity, and hard-work.

Glenn is Brandon's older cousin. Glenn is a known family guy. This is highly admirable to Brandon. His calm, yet strong presence has shown Brandon how to show up in his personal life. Brandon appreciates his love and support.

Melvin is Brandon’s cousin. They are a year apart and grew up together. Their relationship feels more like a brotherhood. Melvin has always pushed Brandon to be the best version of himself. They have been able to travel the world together. Brandon's favorite part of their relationship is when they get to discuss various books and podcasts. Melvin has always shared a passion to do more in life.

Nick is Brandon’s nephew. Brandon is lovingly an important role-model for Nick. In return, Nick is extremely dependable, and is always willing to help Brandon with various tasks. Nick is following in Brandon's footsteps of becoming an amazing person and leader.

Nick Perkins

Josh has know Brandon since 2007. They first met as freshman roommates in college. Josh has a "larger than life" personality, and helped Brandon become more outgoing as well. They have been closely connected ever since.

Kannon is Brandon's nephew. He is a Junior in high school. Kannon is an important member of his basketball team. He is also a member of his school's Theatre Club. Kannon is very excited and honored to be apart of Brandon's wedding party!

Kannon Knott

Deji is Gavanne's second born nephew, and Ring Bearer. He is a gentleman, and has such a loving heart. He's excited to have an important role in the wedding. Deji is a 6th grader at ALC Mosaic in Charlotte. He enjoys the violin, swimming, and basketball. He is a member of the Future City Team.

Do you have a dress code? Yes. Please wear solid black formal attire. This is a black tie wedding. We encourage you to dress as fabulous as you would like. We want you to look and feel your best!

Are kids allowed? No. The Four Seasons does not allow kids, unless they are in the wedding party. Thanks for understanding.

Can I bring a Plus One? This is an intimate wedding, with a limited number of attendees. Unless it is stated on your RSVP, you can not bring a Plus One. Thank you for understanding.

Is parking available? Yes. Paid parking is available. The Four Seasons has a valet service, and a parking lot and garage are close to the hotel. Street parking is also available.

Can I RSVP after the deadline? No. Unfortunately, once the deadline has passed, we cannot add more guests. Thanks for understanding.
